Here’s the UK top 10 for the week beginning 7 October 2007.

  1. Sugababes - About You Now: The ‘Babes hold the top spot for a second week in a row, scotching any suggestion that they might falter without Mutya at the helm.
  2. Ida Corr v Fedde Le Grande - Let Me Think About It:
  3. Shayne Ward - No U Hang Up: No Shayne, you hang up…
  4. 50 Cent - Ayo Technology: If the boys are tired of using technology, I’d love to see them ditching their various Blackberries and stuff.
  5. Plain White T’s - Hey There Delilah: Another week in the top 10 for the tee’s…
  6. Sean Kingston - Beautiful Girls: …and likewise for Mr Kingston. Nice to see a follow-up single soon.
  7. Mark Ronson ft Amy Winehouse - Valerie: The slightly too fast cover of The Zutons’ hit would be a great return to form for Winehouse. If she’d bothered to show up for the video shoot!
  8. Feist - 1, 2, 3, 4: The catchiest song in the charts this week, flying high on the strength of a global advertising campaign. You should listen to more stuff by Feist.
  9. Scouting For Girls - She’s So Lovely: All kinds of light-hearted fun on this single from the Harrow-based three piece. Looks like its last week in the top 10…
  10. Kanye West - Stronger:
