UK Pop Charts: 5 August 2007
Hi! Thanks for visiting Unreality Music! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed for regular updates.
We haven’t had a look at the UK pop chart in a while - let’s have a look down the UK top ten singles this week:
- Timbaland ft Keri Hillson - The Way I Are: Haven’t actually heard this one yet, although I will look it out this week. Seems like Timbaland’s getting very comfortable with the #1 spot.
- Kate Nash - Foundations: This has grown on me since I first listened to it, something to do with Nash’s very dry LDN delivery.
- Fergie - Big Girls Don’t Cry: Unlike Kate Nash, this hasn’t grown on me at all and leaves me craving something with balls, like Pink perhaps.
- Rihanna ft Jay-Z - Umbrella: That lil’ cutie from Colombia is still riding high, despite losing pole position last week. Possibly one of the best singles of the year so far.
- Robyn With Kleerup - With Every Heartbeat:
- Enrique Iglesias - Do You Know: Smooth talking devil, you had me at ‘Do’. Well if I was gullible, and female. You’re not fooling me, Enrique, you hornball.
- Newton Faulkner - Dream Catch Me: Following in the legacy of acoustic troubadours like James Blunt and David Gray, this music makes me want to wage war on acoustic guitars and the people who brandish them.
- Hoosiers - Worried About Ray: And in stark contrast to the above singer/songwriter disaster zone, the Hoosiers remain entertaining with their tongue in cheek video for Worried About Ray.
- Groove Armada - Song 4 Mutya: My fave song in the charts this week, Mutya and those Groove Armada folks deserve, yes DESERVE, to be at #1 next week. Excellent track.
- Plain white T’s - Hey There Delilah: Say what? We’ll review later in the week.
