The Killers have released a new Christmas song, Don’t Shoot Me Santa, with proceeds going to the RED campaign.

First impression? Thank God for a new Christmas tune, one that doesn’t take itself seriously at all, and which has a deranged ginger Santa trying to assassinate singer Brandon Flowers!

Don’t Shoot Me Santa is played in a very authentic Xmas style, complete with a mock soulful spoken bit in the middle. And lest we forget, that beautiful line about the sweet Mojave rain…

The video’s hilarious, varying between psycho Santa holding Flowers hostage in the desert and footage of the band in a cheesy log cabin, decked out in Chirstmas-patterned jumpers. Sexy…not.
