Serial hit recyclers Booty Luv are back next week with their third single, a cover of Lucy Pearl’s Don’t Mess With My Man.

Overkill is the lead single from Kosheen’s third album, Damage.
Kosheen are another of those bands I’ve been vaguely aware of in the past, but rashly written off. The reason I’m saying that is because Overkill is actually quite a good song.

In this one, Timbaland is giving a bit of a leg up to one of the singers on his Mosley Music record label, Keri Hilson. Can’t blame the guy either, if the rumors that he’s retiring are true, he’s going to want to push his artists pretty hard to keep the dough rolling in.
The Way I Are just screams out Timbaland: you can hear that strong synth running through the track alongside throbbing beats and bass. The addition of Hilson on vocals is a departure from Ms Furtado, and you come away with the feeling that either singer could have delivered the goods on this track.

I finally caught the video for Eric Prydz’s version of Another Brick In The Wall on TMF this evening. Was never a big fan of the original song, but this remix injects some energy into it.
Proper Education is a bit shorter than I remember Another Brick In The Wall being, but it weaves in the original Pink Floyd vocal along with (I think) the original bassline and guitar tracks. Not normally my thing, but this update may actually be better than the original!
