The Sun is reporting that Christina Aguilera was shocked that her new single has charted at a paltry #14.

You may think that charting anywhere within the Top 40 is a decent result. But for an artist of her calibre and international reputation, anything less than top 10 is a poor showing. She has good cause to be worried.

If you follow the entertainment and celebrity news circuit, Christina’s boobs have been more prevalent than her music. For what seems like at least the last two years, Christina hasn’t really been known for her music.

I don’t normally comment on the salacious non-music news like singers having sprogs, but in the case of Christina Aguilera, I’ll make an exception. The reason? Well, knowing how the ladies love to scream during childbirth (except the Scientologist ones), I wondered if a diva like Aguilera would hit any high notes.

She’s famous for hitting the ‘C above high C’, so I couldn’t help wondering if she’d treat the kid to a showcase of her vocal range on the way out.

I’d hate to be Christina Aguilera’s mother right now. I mean, domestic abuse isn’t something people want to broadcast at the best of times. Would you want your daughter telling the world about it?

Perhaps it’s a poignant song, since Christina’s on the brink of popping out her own sprog. You know, reflecting on her own childhood and all that.
