Muzu TV is a new online music platform which showcases a variety of artist profiles and features videos, behind-the-scenes footage and profile information. This week’s Muzu TV content focuses on Britney Spears, ahead of her long awaited pop comeback! Renowned for being a legendary pop princess, Britney is the eighth best selling female recording artist having sold over 83 million records worldwide.
In other Britney news today, it seems Britney’s website has a new section dedicated to making fun of the paparazzi.
She (or more accurately the people behind the website) calls this “The Paparazzies” because it makes fun of the people who are following her around 24/7.
The inaugural post on the Paparazzies section states their mission quite clearly:
Looking for all the world like those fake nude shots of Britney that used to do the rounds on the Internet, yes…this is the cover for her new album, Circus.
Britney’s new single, Womanizer, is splitting opinions everywhere.
Where some reviewers are captivated by the futuristic electronic fuzz and the heavily processed vocals, others like the stalwart pop commentator Bill Lamb remain unimpressed.
It all sounds like a rather weak attempt to approach the attitude of Katy Perry in a classic Britney futuristic bubblegum pop context. Unfortunately, after a few listens it all becomes quite dull.
“I’m Miss American Dream since I was 17″, sings Britney in Piece Of Me. Well, until a couple of years ago, this was true. Nowadays, she’s more of a hideous freakin’ nightmare.
No doubt the geniuses behind this ditty thought it would be funny to play on Britney’s tabloid image. But Piece Of Me reflects how far the mighty Britney has fallen.
I couldn’t go through today without talking about the furore Britney Spears caused at the MTV Video Music Awards. It’s all over the Internet today.
First, let me point out that it’s been a couple of years since Britney released a single. She’s not been ‘news’ in the music world in those years.
Instead, Britney’s taken the sideways move toward being gossip column fodder. And she obviously sells papers and the Internet gossip columnists regularly pick over her latest gaffes like the vultures they are.
