It seems the British justice system could no longer allow Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty to remain at large. And no, not because he might release another album.

It’s because Pete repeatedly failed to show up for probation hearings among other things that weren’t disclosed by his manager, Adrian Hunter.

Babyshambles - You Talk - Single Review

The video for You Talk sees the Babyshambles crew ambling around a forest somewhere while Pete Doherty drawls on about loving to get leathered. No surprises there then.

Whenever I hear a new Babyshambles track, I find myself looking out for the musical genius that Doherty & Co allegedly bring along with them. The thing is, I can’t find it. All that’s on offer here is pretty decent indie pop.

Kate Moss Won’t Take Babyshambles Royalties

Funniest story of the day is the news that Kate Moss apparently has writing credits on four songs off the new Babyshambles album, Shotter’s Nation. By the way, if Shotter’s Nation doesn’t sound like the title of a 1970’s British sitcom, I don’t know what does.

Anyway, it seems Kate co-wrote the songs while in bed with Pete Doherty. News sources don’t say if the songs were written in blood or other bodily waste matter. But given Doherty’s involvement, it’s unrealistic to think it was done with a biro.

Babyshambles - Delivery

babyshambles-delivery Well well. All hail the nation’s most celebrated junkie - the ‘venerable’ Pete Doherty - has got his shit together for long enough to release a single with Babyshambles.

I have to admit to being one of those tabloid readers who scratches my head at every Doherty story and wonders if I’ve ever heard one of his songs. Well, now I have.
