While Amy Winehouse was having her summer-long meltdown, the Quantum Of Solace producers looked to one of the oddest pairings in music history – R&B diva Alicia Keys and guitar-mangler Jack White.
You’d think the collision of these two musical juggernauts would have spawned a bigger mess than anything Amy could have come up with. Not so. Another Way To Die has all the brooding hallmarks of a great Bond theme, but rocks hard enough to stand on its own.

Alicia Keys will spend the next week having her foot surgically removed from her mouth for her latest comments in Blender Magazine. In her interview with the magazine, she drops the bombshell that she believes the US government created gangsta rap as a way to oppress the black people and that they were responsible for the deaths of Notorious BIG and Tupac Shakur, because they didn’t want a strong black leader to rise to prominence.

After what seems like an eternity, Alicia Keys graces us with a new single, No One. I heard this on Jonathan Ross’ show a couple of Friday’s ago when she closed the programme with the song.
I’ve always had a soft spot for the appropriately-named piano-botherer from New York. She’s all grown up now and her performance (both live and in the No One video) are much more mature.
