Spice Girls Respond To Media Reports About Cancelled World Tour

Hi! Thanks for visiting Unreality Music! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed for regular updates.

They bailed on the big reunion tour for pretty flimsy reasons. The media reported that they were at each other’s throats. The fans who missed out went on a rampage on the Internet to complain.

Heatworld reports that one Spice Girls website has closed down in protest after 10 years supporting the group. Like the big media shits they are, they don’t bother to link to the site in question - Spice News. The Spice News moderator said this in a posting:

This will be the end of this website’s news updates. SpiceNews.com is dropping support for the Spice Girls. I think it’s deplorable to announce that they are going to visit all these countries, in a celebratory manner, waving all their flags, claiming that this tour is for the fans, not for the money

Anyway, the Spice Girls have posted an apology/pathetic fake show of unity (you decide) on YouTube. I agree with Heatworld that they’re absolutely falling over themselves to placate the fans, but failing miserably.

I also heard a lengthy rant from Chris Moyles this morning about how little respect they’ve shown their fans. While we all knew the tour was about a final cash-in to milk the Spice Girls name, it’s disappointing that they’ve lost interest in completing the dates they scheduled. So much for giving the fans a chance to see them.

Here’s that totally lame ‘explanation’ video. Have a vomit bag handy…

Say goodbye to your credibility, ladies. I’m all out of sympathy at this point.
