I mostly agree with this review. Extreme were a pretty high-intensity energetic band, and its their rockin' numbers that hold up the best. Unfortunately, their ballad "More than Words" became a crossover radio staple, and I'm still getting over the emotional scarring that resulted from being physically unable to turn a radio dial for several weeks without being subjected to its ungodly suckiness. However, I do believe that "Hole Hearted" is a pretty darned decent song. Really, it's only one of a handful of that ocean of 80's Hair Metal ballads that didn't blow huge mushy chunks of suck. (The only other decent 80's Metal Ballads I can think of at the moment are Dokken's "Alone Again" and Zebra's "Who's Behind the Door.")

This is an amazing review on Pornograffitti, very insightful and sincere.

You also may want to check out Nuno's post Extreme work (i.e., Mourining Widows, Population 1 and DramaGods) -- all of this is available at iTunes and other internet retailers.

Also, there's some free downloads of DramaGods at
