BBC Radio 1 today (Friday 1 June) announces that the station will return to the White Isle from Friday 10 to Sunday 12 August 2007 for Radio 1’s Ibiza Weekend.
The weekend represents a key part of Radio 1’s summer schedule and sees the station broadcast live from the iconic summer destination for dance music lovers.
This year features an incredible line-up of the world’s hottest DJs across a mammoth 23 hours.
Pete Tong revealed Radio 1’s Ibiza Weekend plans today at his opening party live from Café Mambo in Ibiza.
Radio 1 DJ’s Pete Tong, Judge Jules, Dave Pearce, Zane Lowe, Annie Mac, Eddie Halliwell and Vernon Kay will all broadcast live from Ibiza’s hottest parties with some very special guests to be announced.
Pete Tong kicks off proceedings with his Friday night show live from the legendary Café Mambo, handing over to Annie Mac who will broadcast her show for the very first time live from the same venue.
Other highlights of the weekend include:
- Radio 1 DJ All Stars from Café Mambo with Pete Tong, Zane Lowe and Vernon Kay co-hosting for the second year running.
- Radio 1 and Ibiza Rocks Special live from Bar M with Zane Lowe with live performances to be announced.
- Radio 1 and Cream live from Amnesia, five-hour special with exclusive DJ sets from Sasha, Eddie Halliwell, Steve Angello, Annie Mac, Axwell, Sebastian Ingrosso, Simian Mobile Disco, Touche and more.
