Hi! Thanks for visiting Unreality Music! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to our RSS feed for regular updates.
When we first heard about the new Pussycat Dolls single, it was tempting to gloat about Nicole Scherzinger coming back with her tail between her legs.
OK, it’s fair to say that Nicole’s solo stuff didn’t set the charts on fire, despite some high profile collaborations. But secretly we’re glad she’s back where she belongs. Aren’t you?

Here’s a bunch of cool music-related blog posts I’ve come across recently.
Pandora On the Verge of Closing Shop
Web-based radio takes a hit as Pandora may have to close their doors in the near future.
10 Common frontman (and woman) styles
I mean, some singers defy classification or bleed from one category to another (Liam Gallagher’s both a Pseudo Diva AND a Stoic), but you can pretty much lump most leading men (and ladies!) into one of these categories. Allow me to present you with The Field Guide To The 10 Most Common Frontman Styles.
Top 10: Led Zeppelin Rip-Off Bands
While Led Zeppelin might be the perfect gateway initiation to rock, there’s no denying their influence - and here are 10 rip-off bands that prove our case.

Nas has chosen Hero as the lead single from his new album, Untitled. And for the ride, he’s bringing along Timbaland’s chum, Keri Hilson.
Initially hollering like Busta Rhymes with a sore throat, Nas immediately slips into a smooth but bland verse. Sounds a lot like old-fashioned homie posturing rather than any real conviction that he’s the ‘hero’ of the title.

Here’s a bunch of cool music-related blog posts I’ve come across recently.
It shouldn’t come as any surprise considering reports earlier this week, but Wolfmother has called it a day.Andrew Stockdale Bass/keyboard player Chris Ross and drummer Myles Heskett cited long-standing personal and musical differences as the reason for the split.
AC/DC might actually be on their way to Hell. The group have revealed that their forthcoming album will be available in the US only at branches of Wal-Mart. No independent record shop will carry the CD - in fact, no shop at all will sell it.
Scott Weiland drags the Stone Temple Pilots into disrepute (yet again). Idolator say the tour’s not going so well.
Some interesting bits of trivia about classic rockers that we’re betting you didn’t know. Oh, and that rather icky Bill Wyman/Mandy Smith story…
Here’s a few little nuggets of things you didn’t know about little Prince…

Welcome back, friends, to the MySpace Tour and stop #2 - the Chris George Band. The first stop on our tour was LA’s Heart Of Cygnus, and we’ve selected Chris George from their list of friends to continue the tour.
Okay, any band that sports the name of one of its members usually has that person as the focus. Chris is the main man - lead guitarist and vocalist. He’s aided and abetted by drummer Farid Medjane and bassist Rob Butterfield.
You should know that Chris is some kind of guitar prodigy - he’s been playing since he was 7 years old, and was crowned Young Guitarist Of The Year in 1997 by Guitarist Magazine.

Steve McQueen is the latest single from The Automatic, and man is it on heavy rotation on the radio right now.
File this one under Anthems…
Because that’s what this is, a raucous rock anthem, with a banging, irrepressible chorus. If this is the lead single from their forthcoming album, then we’re in for a treat.

OK, this is the first stop on our tour of MySpace, and the band we’re featuring tonight is Heart Of Cygnus, an LA-based metal band.
Yes, METAL. We’re starting with metal…
On first listen, Heart Of Cygnus are a full-on rock and metal act with a typically big sound. But scratch beneath the surface and you’ll discover that the band are only two people, Jeff Lane and Jim Nahikian.

We used to cover a lot of new music here on Unreality Music, taking some highly recommended bands on MySpace and reviewing them for your pleasure.
And what with all this talk about the dire state of the Indie scene, we thought it might be a good time to start looking out cool new bands. However, this time we’re not waiting on you guys to make recommendations. Oh no. We’re going on a tour of MySpace, one friend at a time.

We here at Unreality Music don’t need much of an excuse to cast off our clothes. So, imagine our delight when the virtually unknown Ida Maria started getting airplay with this absolutely epic tune.
What with Katy Perry trying the bi-curious angles this summer, and this thumping rock anthem dedicated to getting yer kit off, we like to think that the charts are temporarily a much hornier place…
