Lily Allen Lands A TV Show On BBC Three
Interesting news: Lily Allen has apparently bagged her own TV chat show on BBC Three. According to what I’m reading, the show will be heavily centered around Lily’s MySpace presence, with her online friends being involved in the show. Apparently, this’ll include well-known chart acts as well as unsigned bands.
The show seems to have a lot of audience participation planned. Depending on what you believe, parts of the show will be presented by audience members, and they’ll also have a role in voting which unsigned acts get to play on the show.
BBC Three controller Danny Cohen said: “I’m delighted… she’s one of the hottest acts around and an important voice of her generation.”
This is an interesting move for Lily. She’s become something of a poster child for MySpace, and this series looks set to give her an active role in helping break new musical acts. Congrats to Lily…
