Led Zeppelin Reunion Show Confirmed, O2 Arena 26th November 2007
We reported back in June that Led Zeppelin were reuniting for a one-off show. Today, we’ve learned that the venue and the date for the reunion gig have been confirmed.
As we expected, the show will be a tribute to Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun who died last December.
Other artists known to be on the bill are Pete Townshend, Bill Wyman, Foreigner and Paolo Nutini, the last act Ertegun worked with.
Led Zeppelin have reunited in the past for similar charity and one-off concerts. There’s currently no indication that they’re going to extend this one-off into a full tour, although demand would be huge.
As on previous occasions, the three surviving members: Jimmy Page, Robert Plant and John Paul Jones will be joined onstage by Jason Bonham, son of their much-loved original drummer John Bonham.
On a slightly negative note, tickets for this gig are coming in at £125.00 each, which pretty much excludes most of us. I’m a fan, but I can’t afford that much!
If you’re minted, you can get tickets from the official website. Otherwise, keep your fingers crossed then for a more reasonably priced UK tour…
