Fed up with Led Zeppelin reunion and tour rumours? Let’s be like the tabloid press and make up some of our own! I’ll go first…
In a surprise announcement earlier today, Jimmy Page has confirmed that Led Zeppelin will reunite for a second time for an intimate concert in the headquarters of Unreality Music.
Robert Plant is reportedly so excited about the gig that he has apparently cancelled the rest of his tour with singer Alison Kraus. Drummer Jason Bonham will not be reprising his role, instead Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl will realise a lifelong ambition by pounding the skins on such tracks as Kashmir and Dazed And Confused.
Page, who will be trying to keep his fingers intact in preparation for the gig said: “We know Gerard’s been a massive fan of the band for years, so this one-off concert is crucial for us. This is probably the most nervous I’ve been about a gig in years.”
Gerard McGarry, lead writer for Unreality Music, has confirmed that the 20 seater venue is prepared for the show and that showbiz friends such as egomaniac rocker Axl Rose and soul legend James Brown will be attending. Brown is so excited about the show that he’s making a special effort to return from the grave.
By the way, you’re not invited, although I’ll be flogging a few of my spare tickets on eBay and bootlegging the gig as well.
Anybody else care to share a totally fictitious Led Zeppelin rumour?
