Earlier this week, Kanye West released the second single from his Graduation album, Good Life.

What can we say? West is one of those rappers who always gets it right. Good Life shows that while he can rap along with the best of them, Kanye also has an ear for a good tune, mixing in parts of Michael Jackson’s Pretty Young Thing.

The video for Good Life is awesome. If you remember all those old rap videos from the 90’s where the words would appear on screen, then this will seem familiar. The format makes great use of special effects and transitions though, and there’s a nice spot where Kanye is facing outward toward the audience and the words still display, but are reversed.

I don’t know that T-Pain adds much to the song, but if Kanye wants a sidekick, Kanye gets a sidekick.

The Good Life video is further proof that Kanye should have won an MTV award by now. No wonder he gets so upset when they overlook him every time.
