Come on, let be honest - who thought Jimmy Eat World probably broke up ages ago? Well, apparently they didn’t. And this new single Always Be is proof.
Although the song and its supremely polished production simply scream “radio-friendly hit single”, I can’t bring myself to hate this. It’s the kind of track I absolutely love - fast paced, urgent and melodic. It’s fair to say the Jimmy Eat World guys have a knack for this kind of power pop.
The video focuses on the burgeoning relationship between a girl and boy at a class trip to a museum. They get separated from their group and decide to muck about the museum. As you do.
All the while the Jimmy Eat World crew are rocking out in the wildlife exhibit. Yeah, try doing that with your band. See how far you get, mate!
Definitely looking forward to hearing this one on heavy rotation! Thumbs Up.
