Guns N Roses song ‘Shackler’s Revenge’ will feature in Rock Band 2
It looks like Dr Pepper might be have to buy America a drink after all, as the makers of the Rock Band 2 game secure a brand new GNR song, Shackler’s Revenge for the upcoming release.
This inches the group closer to a potential album release. Will it still be called Chinese Democracy? Your guess is as good as ours. The fact still remains that even if the album gets released, it won’t be Guns N Roses in the way we know and love them (i.e. 1987 – 1994 era). Essentially, it’ll be an Axl Rose vehicle, 14 years after their last release.
Billboard reports that alongside Shackler’s Revenge, GNR will be joined by Bob Dylan’s Tangled Up In Blue and AC/DC’s Let There Be Rock. Other artists whose songs will be on the game are Pearl Jam, Metallica, the Allman Brothers Band, Motorhead, Devo, Jane’s Addiction, Megadeth, Paramore and Modest Mouse.
Will Axl have the last laugh on Dr Pepper? It’s looking ever more likely.
Will Guns N Roses deliver an album worthy of their back catalog without Slash, Izzy/Gilby, Duff or Matt/Steven involved in the process? Now there’s a question…
