Girls Aloud – Call The Shots

Say what you like about them, but Girls Aloud have consistently released good pop music since they graduated from Popstars: The Rivals all those years ago. Surfing through the music channels, there always seems to be a best of Girls Aloud programme running.
Call The Shots is the latest single from the girls, and once again it’s a belter.
Call The Shots further blurs the lines between Girls Aloud and Sugababes, mostly because the Xenomania team is producing both groups. Add to that a touch of Can’t Get You Out Of My Head-era Kylie, and you’ve got a classic pop formula.
The video features the girls writhing around some kind of bonfire in what must be come kind of occult ceremony. Cheryl and Kimberley look effortlessly sexy, Nadine tries to look sultry but ends up looking slightly hostile, Nicola looks like she’s daydreaming, and Sarah Harding should hunt down the hairdresser who attacked her and shoot him (or her).
Seriously, when the hairdresser asks you what kind of cut you want, do you say “I don’t care, just butcher it mate.”? Do you?
Anyroad, here’s the Call The Shots video:
