Ever Been Rick Rolled?
I got Rick Rolled for the first time ever today.
You don’t know what Rick Rolled is? Neither did I until this morning. Basically, it’s the act of tricking someone into clicking an Internet link which leads to a video of Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up.
Of course, my first reaction was “who’d be stupid enough to fall for that one?” And I subsequently went away and forgot all about it.
Later on, while browsing another website, I clicked on a link within an article and immediately heard the strains of Stock, Aiken and Waterman’s finest on my laptop speakers. Fooled! Imagine my shame.
And if you don’t believe me, here’s the last word on being Rick Rolled. There’s even a website dedicated to the phenomenon. Has this ever happened to you?

Yup, I have!
One summer morn, I log on my computer, and find that my brother has changed the log-on tune to “Never Gunna Give You Up”. He didn’t get much sleep that night, as I put it on his MP3 and set multiple alarms, which he isn’t smart enough to disable.
Another time, whilst browsing work sites for homework, I got Rock Roll’d, and ended up watching “Through the Fire and Flames” by Dragonforce instead of reading up on Chemistry!
