It’s apparent from Dannii Minogue’s new video that she still sees herself as some kind of sex symbol. That’s unfortunate, because neither of the Minogue sisters are looking sexy at the moment. Kylie because she’s in remission from cancer, Dannii because of her big forehead and sunken cheekbones and those big fake funbags she likes to flaunt.  But we’d prefer not to see.

Despite the hostile intro, Touch Me Like That is actually a pretty good dance track. OK, it’s repetitive, but it’s suggestive, got a good club sound. The only thing is, it’s the wrong time of year to release this kind of track. Winter’s for big Christmas singles, yet here we have la Minogue releasing what could have been a decent summer smash.

Is it possible she’s cashing in on the X Factor exposure? Certainly, the midweek sales suggest that Touch Me is bombing dismally. It’s a shame, because as I say, it’s a good dance track. Perhaps if she hadn’t been so desperate to get a single released before X Factor wraps, she’d be looking at better sales figures.

The video is just a little bit bizarre, but I don’t think Dannii’s done a ‘normal’ pop video in a long time. Check it out anyway and tell me what you think.
