The songs are nothing more than decent, the bass follows the guitar 70% of the time, the guitarists can barely play themselves and the drumming is overqualified. The result is a mish-mash messy sound that doesn't work without a clever producer. No one will come out and say it; I agree with this article. The band see to know it themselves but enjoy taking it from NME too much to change anything. Arctic Monkeys are the most overrated act in history.
