Sad to report tonight that Amy Winehouse’s career has taken a further nose dive. She’s been arrested in connection with her husband’s involvement in apparently attempting to pervert the course of justice.
What connects Amy to Blake’s trial is simple: money. According to the story, Blake and his co-accused approached the victim and offered him £200,000 to call the trial off. And where would a scrawny layabout like Blakey-wakey get that kind of money from?
Uh-huh, his beehive wearing wife who just happens to be one of the most celebrated artists in the UK today.
So, allegedly the police have even taken the step of raiding Amy’s accountants offices. If this is true, it lends much more weight to those suicide pact rumours of the last few days where Amy and Blake made the pact in case they both end up doing jail time.
This latest episode in Amy Winehouse’s increasingly bizarre life just shows how far things are going. And yet both Amy’s and Blakes families seem to be more concerned about milking the publicity by writing open letters to the papers instead of dealing directly with her.
